About the Georgian Bay Area Public Purchasing Co-Operative
The Georgian Bay Area Public Purchasing Cooperative (GBAPPC) was established in June of 1993 in response to the demand for public purchasers to reduce costs. The cooperative was formed by a group of ten agencies dedicated to the effective, efficient, and economical management of public procurement and has since increased membership to twenty-nine agencies. There is currently no charge for membership. Any agency spending with public funds, e.g. health care institutions, government agencies, educational institutions, and boards or commissions may apply for membership.
